Municipal Approval Process

Municipal Approval Process

In order to build the housing and hotel it requires a Planned Development Zone (PDZ) and Site Plan Approval in both the Village of Cayuga Heights and the Town of Ithaca.

The process to establish the PDZs is underway with the Town of Ithaca being the Lead Agency for the SEQR review process and draft PDZ legislation has been prepared with input from both municipalities.

The Village Trustees and the Town Board Members seem generally in favor of these proposed improvements with the limits established as noted above pending further study of traffic impacts and a more detailed Site Plan Review to be completed by each planning board.
